"You're smart. You're loyal. You're grateful. I appreciate that."

This is the time of the month where everyone is usually giving up on or not following through with the goals set for this year. You know, the usual "no one really goes through with it anyway". Well, I have some goals set and I'm for damn sure not letting anyone get in my way especially me.

Check, Check and... check!

I've been thinking lately how I've become obsessed with planning and organizing as much as possible, when I'm not being lazy at least. Funny enough, a lot of people seem to dread planning much less packing and I have no idea why. I love it!

I thought I'd make your life a little easier when thinking of what to put together. Keep in mind that this is for a short vacation/road trip.

It's on sale for How Much?!

Um, HELLO, if you didn't already know this is the best time to be at the malls and do online shopping (if you're not on a time crunch and want free standard shipping of course). Here's why.

The Comeback | Part Two

Some weeks ago I mentioned how I took photos of my sister for a scholarship she's trying to get (see here) and didn't want to bombard you guys with so many photos so, here's part two. Enjoy :).

LOOKING FORWARD TO

Within the last year, specifically the last 8 months or so, I realized that I need to put myself first sometimes and because of this, I've been making changes that I'm enjoying seeing come to life and finally happen.

There Comes A Time When...

Saturday, September 27, 2014

There comes a point in time in your life where you just feel stuck. Something that I naively thought wouldn't happen to me as I had it all "so planned out" when I was younger. I would always speak to those closest to me as it's supposed to make things supposedly feel better and like if a weight has been lifted off of your shoulders. Sometimes it did but more often than not, it didn't.

Earlier this week, this man on the bus was joking around and being friendly to everyone including myself. Out of nowhere he starts talking to me about his son and wife when he suddenly asks me about school. Keep in mind that up until this point, the conversation was mostly one-sided as I've never been one to be good too with small talk. I told him about school and he asked if I was planning on furthering my education in Psychology. I surprisingly blurted out and expressed my concern that I wasn't sure if I still wanted to pursue a career in Psychology field anymore.

Still reeling from the fact that I told a complete stranger something that I didn't even want to admit to myself he proceeded to tell me that I should focus on school a little more and truly decide if that is what I wanted or if this a just phase where I'm doubting myself. He says that I'm 2o, young and can do so much with myself if that is what I genuinely want for myself. He mentioned that I should love and focus on myself and whatever it is that I wanted to do and that love can wait a few years.

Here is this complete stranger talking to me about things I wish I got to speak to my dad about but never did. I nearly broke down in tears, something that may not be a surprise to those who really know me. It may sound creepy but in my heart and mind, I'd like to think that this was my dads way of speaking to me and reassuring me that I've still got a lot to do, a lot to learn and go through but mainly that
I'll be just fine.

The Comeback

Last week was um, crazy, to say at the very least.
